The Ribbon of Knowledge
A continuous ribbon, rising and twisting to enclose a secret garden, is a willfully allegorical approach to the Jerusalem Library’s design. Evoking the sediment of history through its horizontal layers, recalling the written word through its lace-like facade who’s shifting shadows call upon multiple readings, the building establishes a bold architectural topography and offers a propitious place to the contemplation of natural harmony.
The overall environment-friendly approach as well as the strong integration of natural light and elements contribute to the creation of a truthful whole.
